Röhm's consistent research since the early 1930s has led to the development of polymer solutions, dispersions/emulsions and solid products based on acrylates and methacrylates, which have been rapidly accepted by the paint and lacquer industry.

Today, with its plants in Worms, Darmstadt and Wesseling, Evonik Röhm GmbH has the largest production capacities in Europe for methacrylic raw materials for coatings. The Business Segment Coatings  offers a wide range of DEGALAN^®  standard and special binders.

The most important applications for Evonik Röhm's products are traditional paints, marine and container paints, road markings, metal coatings, ceramic transfer lacquers.

DEGALAN^®  products show convincing performance in all applications which call for unexcelled weather resistance, colorfastness, high brilliance and scratch resistance. In cooperation with its customers, Business Segment Coatings at Evonik Röhm GmbH  develops new products for innovative applications. These joint studies result in complete solutions developed to production stage for the end user.
